Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the rules and guidelines for using ValueAPI's API routing services. Because ValueAPI acts as a proxy to various upstream AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, etc.), your use of our service must also comply with the Acceptable Use Policies of the respective upstream providers whose models you invoke.

2. Prohibited Content and Activities

You may not use ValueAPI to generate, process, or transmit content that:

  • Is Illegal: Violates any applicable local, national, or international law.
  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Contains or promotes CSAM or any content that exploits or harms children.
  • Hate Speech & Violence: Promotes violence, incites hatred, promotes discrimination, or facilitates self-harm.
  • Malware & Hacking: Generates malicious code, facilitates cyberattacks, or attempts to bypass security controls.
  • Deception & Fraud: Generates disinformation, deepfakes intended to deceive, spam, or facilitates fraudulent activities.
  • Privacy Violation: Attempts to discover private individuals' personal information or violates privacy rights.

3. Platform Abuse

When interacting with the ValueAPI platform, you must not:

  • Bypass Rate Limits: Attempt to circumvent our rate limits, billing systems, or concurrency controls through multiple accounts or other technical means.
  • Account Sharing: Resell or publicly share your ValueAPI API keys. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • Denial of Service: Engage in activities that impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or the infrastructure of our upstream providers.
  • Automated Account Creation: Use bots or automated scripts to create ValueAPI accounts in bulk.

4. Upstream Provider Policies

By using specific models through ValueAPI, you implicitly agree to the usage policies of the model's creator. For example, if you route a request to a Claude model, you must adhere to Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy. If an upstream provider flags your requests for policy violations, we will pass that enforcement down to your ValueAPI account.

5. Policy Enforcement

We employ automated and manual systems to monitor for abuse. If we determine that you have violated this policy, we may take any of the following actions without prior notice:

  • Suspend or permanently terminate your API access.
  • Forfeit any remaining Credits in your wallet.
  • Report illegal activities to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
